I'm Mikayla
Drawing on my background in commercial and fashion photography, my artistic approach is to capture your day with a blend of editorial elegance and timeless sophistication. I strive to bring out the beauty in each couple's journey, ensuring that the story of your day is told in an authentic and captivating way.

I love running and weightlifting. During the warmer months, you can find me hiking in nature, and in the colder months, I'm hunkered down at the gym with my friend Izzy and my husband.
my personal story
I graduated from Michigan State University, before moving out to Los Angeles to work in film production. While I was there, I worked on a number of different high-production sets for brands such as Disney+, Netflix, and HBO, learning lighting techniques and directorial skills. I had the honor of writing a commercial that aired during the Oscars for FX on Hulu's Mrs. America.
While I began photographing portraits in college, I expanded my portfolio by working with professional models in LA, shooting both fashion and beauty work.
After moving back to Michigan, I began shifting my focus to photographing weddings, where I fell in love with connecting with clients, and capturing the love and joy of such a beautiful occasion.
